With so many wonderful free events going on across the grid it’s easy to miss out on a load of excellent goodies. I’ve been so focused on checking out advent calendars I almost missed a giant winter shopping event organized by the Lindens.
The Shop & Hop Event has 100 stores spread out over 5 sims:

And, as you may have guessed, each store has set out one completely free (no group join required) gift. Shop & Hop runs through January 4, 2019. So, gather your shopping bags together and shop happy!

Here’s a closeup of a few of the Shop & Hop jewelry gifts and the gift from Vanity Hair.
Though it will cost you 25 Lindens to join the group, this is Altamura’s Leila (12 Days of Chrismas) group gift. She is quite lovely as is (pictured above), however she’s also Omega compatible. A quick visit to Omega Solutions to purchase the Omega Applier HUD for 99 Lindens will leave you with lovely bento rigged mesh head that only cost 124 Lindens total.
Leila, does not come with a HUD controller, but it’s not necessary. Altamura supplies an easy to follow notecard with links for free eyes and free applier clearing HUDs that make changing skins a snap.

Above is a picture of Leila wearing applier skins from 7 Deadly Skins. I was a bit skeptical when I realized Leila didn’t come with a HUD interface of her own. But, after working with her for literally no more than 10 minutes, I realized a HUD simply isn’t necessary. And, in some ways it’s a lot easier adding your makeup without using a cumbersome HUD.

Guys, we have not forgotten you! The Men Only Hunt (MOH) is going strong and runs through August 18th. There are some really nice gifts to be had, so we’re just going to dive into the details.
Let’s start with the wonderful bike prop from Animosity. It’s simply great, has lots of easy to adjust poses, and is quite possibly Team All Spiffed Up’s favorite MOH gift.
Of course trying to pick a favorite item from such a strong field of talented creators is no easy task. Case in point: Tommy. Tommy is Altamura’s full body mesh avatar gift for MOH. Our model is wearing the Tommy body, shape, and head AO found in the gift box. Tommy’s chiseled face, six-pack, and honeyed skin tone is definitely a head turner.

Here’s a closer look at Tommy and the body HUD. Altamura’s included alpha system is simply wonderful. The Hair button allows the wearer to toggle between the hairbase pictured above and the bald head shown below.

This form fitting grey tee is Justice’s hunt gift. The cool shades are from Rebellion. While hunting at Gild, we passed the group gift wall, and spied the hat and necklace. Gild’s group is free to join so our model went home with several unexpected goodies.

This fun set is from Bakaboo. It is sized for both mesh and classic avatars.

The Waiting Game

It took a bit of doing, but we finally managed to drag Cabal out of The Blake Sea and into a few stores. Despite his grumbles and growls Cabal was quite pleased with the final outcome.
The first stop was etham for the Alex Pullover. The pullover comes sized for Belleza, Slink, and TMP male mesh bodies. The accompanying HUD has 12 colors that can apply to both the over and under sweaters.

The Baka Pants are part of a terrific suit gift from Bakaboo for L’Homme Magazine subscribers. Joining L’Homme is free, and the gifts for are simply wonderful. Bakaboo thoughtfully included the Baka Suit alphas making this gift suitable for both classic and mesh avatars.

Once you’ve joined the L’Homme group pop over to The Forge to pick up the goggles and necklace. Both items are unrigged so resizing and positioning are easy.

To complete the look we concluded our shopping spree at Alien Gizmo. The Alien Gizmo sim has undergone a remodel since the last time we visited so instead of looking for the men’s store simply enter the main store and proceed up to the first floor for the men’s department. There you’ll find this fabulous male group gift and mini-mania boards. As always, Alien Gizmo’s group is free to join!
